The History Behind Leaf and Light Therapy

The “Leaf” symbolizes growth, change, and new beginnings, while “Light” signifies clarity, healing, and self-discovery. Together, they represent both the growth and gentle illumination of healing and personal transformation.

Leaf and Light Mission

At Leaf and Light Therapy, we view healing as a process of tending to the parts of ourselves that have been overlooked, wounded, or forced to stay hidden. Just as plants need care, patience, and light to grow, we believe people thrive when they are met with compassion, safety, and genuine connection. Therapy can be a space to plant new roots, nurture self-trust, and move toward greater clarity and authenticity. Our role is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, helping illuminate patterns, strengths, and possibilities that support lasting growth and meaningful change.

About the Clinician

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, grounded, and supported to grow into your authentic self. I view therapy much like tending to a plants—healing takes patience, care, and the right environment to flourish. Together, we can explore the parts of yourself that may feel overlooked, wounded, or disconnected while nurturing new growth, self-understanding, and resilience. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they cultivate deeper roots, move through seasons of change, and reconnect with the light within themselves.

I approach therapy with empathy, openness, and genuine curiosity, believing that growth often begins when we feel safe enough to be fully seen. Even during difficult seasons of life, you do not have to navigate the process alone. My role is to help create the conditions for healing by illuminating patterns, strengths, and possibilities that support lasting change and personal transformation.

My clinical training and primary focus areas are LGBTQIA+ mental health and eating disorder treatment. As a proud LGBTQIA+ clinician, I provide affirming, inclusive care for adults (18+) navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, mood disorders, self-harming behaviors, self-worth, and identity exploration. Using CBT, ACT, and Somatic approaches, I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs while fostering healing, resilience, and self-compassion. I also provide gender-affirming therapy and gender-affirming referral letters.

While I’m training in areas of LGBTQIA+ concerns and eating disorder recovery, I welcome individuals from all backgrounds seeking healing, clarity, and personal growth. Therapy can be a space to reflect, heal, and reconnect with the person you truly are and I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
